Central Arkansas Flying Club, Inc. (“CAFC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects the privacy of its members, applicants, website visitors, and others who communicate with the Club. This Privacy Policy describes the information CAFC may collect, how it may be used and disclosed, and the choices available to individuals.

Information We Collect

Depending on how an individual interacts with CAFC, we may collect:

• Contact and identifying information, such as name, address, email address, telephone number, mobile number, and date of birth.

• Membership and aviation information, such as pilot certificates, medical certificates, flight experience, aircraft qualifications, and aviation history.

• Employment, emergency-contact, payment, account, background-check, credit-check, driving-history, and related information provided in connection with membership.

• Communications sent to or received from CAFC.

• Information concerning participation in the CAFC Member Alerts text-messaging program, including mobile number, consent records, message history, and opt-out requests.

• Technical information generated when someone visits the CAFC website.

How We Use Information

CAFC may use personal information to:

• Review and administer membership applications and memberships.

• Manage aircraft scheduling, safety communications, Club meetings, events, accounts, payments, and other Club operations.

• Communicate with applicants, members, emergency contacts, service providers, and others.

• Maintain Club records and comply with legal, regulatory, insurance, safety, and contractual requirements.

• Protect CAFC, its members, its aircraft, and other persons.

• Operate and improve the CAFC website and communications systems.

CAFC Member Alerts

Individuals who voluntarily enroll in CAFC Member Alerts may receive recurring informational text messages concerning aircraft status or availability, safety information, scheduling, meetings, events, membership, and account notices.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of membership, aircraft rental, or any other service.

CAFC will use mobile numbers and text-message consent information only to operate the Club’s messaging program. CAFC will not sell, rent, or share mobile numbers or text-message consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. CAFC may provide this information to service providers, including messaging-platform providers and wireless carriers, solely as necessary to transmit messages and operate the messaging program.

All other disclosures described in this Privacy Policy exclude text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent. Such information will not be disclosed to third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.

Disclosure of Other Information

CAFC may disclose information other than SMS opt-in data and consent:

• To service providers performing services for CAFC, such as payment processing, information technology, communications, insurance, accounting, or professional services.

• When reasonably necessary to administer Club membership or operations.

• When required by law, legal process, regulation, insurance requirements, or a lawful governmental request.

• When reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property, aircraft, operations, or safety of CAFC or others.

CAFC does not sell personal information.

Information Security and Retention

CAFC uses reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the information it maintains. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

CAFC retains personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy and to satisfy applicable legal, accounting, insurance, safety, and recordkeeping requirements.

Choices and Corrections

Individuals may contact CAFC to request correction of their contact information or to withdraw text-message consent. Withdrawing text-message consent does not affect membership or access to Club services.

To stop CAFC Member Alerts, reply STOP to any CAFC text message. For assistance, reply HELP or contact CAFC using the information below.

Third-Party Services

The CAFC website may contain links to websites or services operated by third parties. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this Privacy Policy.

Changes to This Policy

CAFC may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The revised policy will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
