Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern use of the Central Arkansas Flying Club, Inc. (“CAFC”) website and participation in the CAFC Member Alerts text-messaging program. CAFC’s Bylaws, Flying Regulations and Policies, membership agreements, and other governing documents separately control Club membership and aircraft operations.

Website Use

The CAFC website provides general information about the Club, its aircraft, membership, flight training, and related activities. Website information may be changed without notice. If website content conflicts with CAFC’s governing documents or a written agreement, the governing document or written agreement controls.

SMS Messaging Terms

Program and Brand

CAFC Member Alerts is a recurring informational text-messaging program operated by Central Arkansas Flying Club, Inc.

Types of Messages

Messages may concern aircraft status or availability, safety information, scheduling, meetings, events, membership, account notices, and other Club operational matters.

Enrollment and Consent

Applicants and members may enroll through the optional text-message section of CAFC’s membership application or through another consent method specifically provided by CAFC.

By enrolling, an individual consents to receive recurring informational text messages from CAFC, including messages sent using automated or mass-texting technology, at the mobile number provided. Consent is voluntary and is not a condition of membership, aircraft rental, or any other service.

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies depending on Club activities, operational conditions, and safety or scheduling needs.

Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply according to the recipient’s wireless-service plan. CAFC does not charge a separate fee for participation in CAFC Member Alerts.

Opting Out

A recipient may opt out at any time by replying STOP to a CAFC text message. CAFC may send one final message confirming the opt-out. After opting out, the recipient will no longer receive CAFC Member Alerts unless the recipient later provides new consent.

Mobile-Number Responsibility

A person who enrolls represents that the person is the subscriber or customary user of the mobile number provided and is authorized to consent to receive messages at that number. Participants should notify CAFC promptly if a mobile number changes or is reassigned.

Delivery and Availability

Text-message delivery is subject to the recipient’s wireless carrier and network availability. Delivery is not guaranteed, and wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. CAFC may modify, suspend, or discontinue the messaging program at any time.

Privacy

CAFC’s collection and use of mobile numbers and text-message consent information are governed by the CAFC Privacy Policy:

CAFC will not sell, rent, or share mobile numbers or text-message consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Changes to These Terms

CAFC may update these Terms and Conditions periodically. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
